This is the fourth installment of a series on how to have healthy hormones during perimenopause. In episode 96, Christine chats with certified nutritionist and holistic health practitioner Ann Melin about herbal preparations that can effectively manage common symptoms of perimenopause, including night sweats, hot flashes, and vaginal dryness (the latter continues past menopause). Ann describes herbal blends and compares the benefits of tincture herbal preparations to herbal teas and using herbs in food.
Ann also explains the functional lab tests she uses with clients to determine the root cause of their hormonal imbalances which can be exacerbated by stress, GI infections and autoimmune conditions.
